Witches

The Witch is a very odd character in any form of mythology or literature... most recent literature meaning mostly Christianized forms of it have placed her squarely on the side of the dark side... shes evil and malicious.. cannibalistic and down right mean... but if you take a closer looks most witches are not really witches at all...they are more like skillful engineers who someone can't get their trap to work... also the much eluded magic that is attributed to witches is preciously non-existent in most characterizations of them... instead mostly they fullfill the typical womanly role of cooking and brewing to the extent that that is their power and in some cases their ultimate downfall...

In some rare stories witches happen to be good people or atleast bearable people who give some astounding advice which normally leads to the hero in most of these heroic epics to do the task set before them and succeed at it. The Witch naturally knows the way to do everything... but of course she don't do nothing...

neways... thanks to the witch that got me thinking about witches... maybe I will develop this into something more substantive...
